One of our regular clients wanted to hold a Mini version of Glastonbury in their grounds.
After discussing details with her at length, we arranged everything, from Staging, sound lights and
entertainment, to mobile bar and catering, nice mobile toilets to bins, as well as assorted outside lighting
and the clearup afterwards
We started early that morning with delivery of the toilets, swiftly followed by the staging, which took
several hours to erect. A simpler stage would have been quicker, but the one we chose suited the event
better than a standard one.
3pm – Once the stage was in place, we installed the large sound system and lighting rig, erected a
marquee for sound and lighting control, and a further one for the mobile bar
4pm – Boogie Wonderland arrive to set up. Six piece disco, funk and soul band the client had booked
before, and always went down well.
5pm – Mobile catering truck arrives – Client specified fish & chips, hot dogs and burgers only, and these
guys did a top notch job
6pm – Robbie Williams arrives… Well ok, not the real one, although we heard he was staying just down the
road at the time. This Robbie travelled from North Yorkshire for the event, and became the star of the show
with his 1 hour slot at 10pm !
6.15pm – We hired Mike Dobie, an amazing singer guitarist, to perform fill in around the other acts. He
recieved a lot of praise on the night, and really got the party started for both early arrivals, and later on
between other sets.
7pm – Everything is set and the first of the guests arrive…
12pm – A very happy client and her guests depart, and we start the breakdown and cleanup operation
If any aspect of this event sounds of interest, or you have a different concept or idea, please get in touch
and we’ll be happy to discuss how we can create something very special for you !
